DELBERT W. ARMSTRONG

Del grew up on a small farm and retired as a Professional Mechanical Engineer in Washington state. He worked 10 years in water and wastewater treatment and 24 years in the petro chemical industry. After retirement, he volunteered for salmon recovery and enhancement, and served as Vice President of a community association. Del, a resident of Lake Forest for more than 10 years, serves on the Weeks Bay Volunteer Board, and is chairman of the Arboretum Committee.

LLOYD GARDNER

Lloyd is a retired pathologist and he still works part time at the Cardiac Rehab Center for Thomas Hospital. He serves on the Baldwin County Medical Society and the Alabama Association of Pathologists. He is interested in ecology preser-vation and public access to the bay as a Daphne resident living in a neighborhood adjacent to the Preserve.

ALFRED V. GUARISCO, VICE-CHAIR

Al is a longstanding member of Village Point Foundation and has served as chairman for many years. Retired from the banking industry, Al brings his fiscal responsibility to the VPF Board. He is a lifelong resident of Daphne from one of the founding Italian families to first settle Daphne in the twentieth century. He has been involved in many civic organizations which include Eastern Shore Affordable Housing, Daphne Museum Board and Kiwanis to name a few.

MAUREEN NATION, SECRETARY
Maureen has been part of the Foundation since its inception. She currently serves as secretary but she also has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Landscape Committee. Maureen is a founding member of the Baldwin County Master Gardeners, appointed to several offices and participates in countless community projects. Maureen has an extensive knowledge of native plants and local habitats. She served over twenty years the Coordinator of Volunteers at Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. She has broad experience in managing volunteer programs and planning workshops, seminars and other special events.

SUSAN S. ROSS, TREASURER

Susan is a native of Daphne and her passion for the community stems from a long history her family has here-settling in Battles Wharf in the 1800s. Susan worked as a paralegal for fifteen years before taking ten years to be a professional mother. Currently she works in the field of naval architecture and maritime engineering. Susan is a member of the Friends of the Daphne Public Library and has served many years as our Foundation’s treasurer.

JOHN LAKE

John is a lifelong resident of Daphne and one of the founders of the Village Point Foundation. He is soon to retire from a long career at Ingalls Shipbuilding where he has for many years served as the president of the union there. John served the City of Daphne for 24 years as City Councilman and currently is President of the Lake Forest POA, originally the largest neighborhood in the state.
